HIV-infected males. Dysglycemia, insulin resistance and hypogonadism were found to be highly prevalent in HIV population. Patients with lower CD4 counts had significantly higher dysglycemia and insulin resistance. Patients with higher percentage of android fat (a marker of central obesity) had significantly higher insulin resistance. Secondary hypogonadism was more common than primary hypogonadism among the HIV affected population. Serum testosterone levels were progressively lower (insignificant) with decreasing CD4 counts.
